CalcadeMaths Diagram Generator
Create clean mathematical diagrams, add measurements and labels, and export them instantly.
Free Online Maths Diagram Generator
Create geometry diagrams, label sides and angles, mark unknown values, build maths questions and export clean diagrams as PNG or JPG. Nothing to install and nothing to sign up for: it runs in your browser and saves your work on your own device.
Geometry diagrams
Lines, angles, parallel and perpendicular lines, transversals and every kind of angle, with the standard notation: ticks for equal sides, arrows for parallel lines, arcs for equal angles and the square for a right angle.
Triangle diagrams
Right-angled, isosceles, equilateral, scalene and the 30°–60°–90° and 45°–45°–90° triangles, with altitudes, medians, bisectors, the centres and the incircle and circumcircle when you want them.
Circle diagrams
Radius, diameter, chord, tangent, secant, sector and segment as separate parts, plus ready-made circle theorem diagrams where a tangent really is perpendicular to its radius.
Mensuration diagrams
Cubes, cuboids, prisms, pyramids, cylinders, cones, spheres, frustums and combined solids, drawn with hidden edges dashed and every dimension labelled.
Maths worksheets
Build several versions of one diagram, change the numbers with Randomise values, and export each as a clean image for a worksheet.
Exam questions and school assignments
Replace any measurement with a ? or a variable to make the unknown obvious, add “Not drawn to scale”, then export a PNG, JPG or SVG that drops straight into a question paper or a homework file.
Need to plot a function instead? Try the graphing calculator, or work a result out with the scientific calculator.
About this calculator
The Maths Diagram Generator draws the diagrams that appear in textbooks and exam papers. Choose a triangle, circle, polygon, solid or coordinate plane and each one is built from its real measurements, so a right-angled triangle with legs 6 and 8 really has a hypotenuse of 10, and a square always stays a square however you resize it.
Every side, angle, radius and height can be shown as its value, a variable such as x, a question mark, or nothing at all, which makes it quick to turn a worked diagram into an unknown-value question. Diagrams are stored in this browser as geometry rather than as pictures, so they stay editable, and they export as sharp PNG, JPG or SVG files you can paste into a worksheet or question paper.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the diagrams in exam papers and worksheets?
The default look is plain dark lines and serif labels on a white page, the style of printed maths papers. Export a PNG at 2× or 4× for print, a transparent PNG to place over coloured paper, or SVG when you need to resize without losing sharpness. Copy image puts a PNG on the clipboard so you can paste it into Word, Google Docs or PowerPoint where your browser allows it.
What does the ? option do?
It replaces the label of any side, angle, radius, height or coordinate with a question mark while the geometry underneath is unchanged. A right-angled triangle with AB = 6 and BC = 8 can show AC = ? and still be drawn as a true 6-8-10 triangle. Variable shows an expression such as x or 2x + 5 instead, and Hidden shows nothing.
Is the drawing accurate, or just illustrative?
In Accurate scale mode, lengths and angles are drawn in proportion to the numbers you enter. In Not to scale mode the proportions are softened so labels stay readable, but every label still shows the real value, and you can add the note “Not drawn to scale” under the diagram.
Are my diagrams uploaded anywhere?
No. Drawing and exporting happen in your browser. The diagram you are working on and any you save to My diagrams are kept in this browser's local storage, so clearing site data removes them. Export a file of anything you need to keep.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The shape library and the properties panel open as bottom sheets, the canvas takes the rest of the screen, and you can pinch to zoom and drag with two fingers to pan. Handles are larger on touch screens.
