Discount Calculator
Sale price and how much you actually save.
Enter a price and a discount to see what you pay.
How it works
A discount is a percentage of the original price, so the amount saved is price × discount ÷ 100 and the sale price is what's left. The second mode reverses it: give it both prices and it tells you what percentage off you actually got.
saved = price × discount ÷ 100 · final = price − savedExample
₹2,000 with 25% off saves ₹500, so you pay ₹1,500.
About this calculator
The discount calculator works in both directions. Give it an original price and a discount percentage and it returns the sale price and the amount you save; give it the original and the sale price and it works backwards to the discount percentage — handy for checking whether a '60% OFF' tag is telling the truth.
Quick-pick chips cover the common sale percentages so a typical price check takes two taps.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a sale price from a discount?
Multiply the original price by (100 − discount) ÷ 100. A ₹2,499 jacket at 30% off is 2,499 × 0.70 = ₹1,749.30, saving ₹749.70.
How do I find what discount percentage I got?
Divide the amount saved by the original price and multiply by 100. Paying 840 for something listed at 1,200 means (1,200 − 840) ÷ 1,200 × 100 = a 30% discount. That's the calculator's second mode.
Do two stacked discounts add together?
No — '20% off, then an extra 10% off' is not 30% off. The second discount applies to the already-reduced price: 100 → 80 → 72, which is 28% off overall. Run the calculator once per discount step to see the real final price.
