How it works
Age is counted the way a calendar does: whole years and months first, then the leftover days measured from your last month-anniversary — never by assuming a month is 30 days. Leap days are included automatically, and a 29 February birthday falls on 28 February in common years.

Frequently asked questions
How is exact age calculated?
By walking the real calendar rather than dividing days by 365: whole years from birthday to birthday, then whole months, then the remaining days. That's why the result matches how ages are stated on official documents, leap years included.
What about a 29 February birthday?
Leap-day birthdays are handled with real calendar rules: in a non-leap year the year ticks over on 1 March, and the years/months/days breakdown stays consistent with the actual dates.
Can I calculate age at a date other than today?
Yes — change the 'age as of' date to any past or future date, and the whole breakdown (years, months, days, totals and next birthday) is computed relative to it.
Why does it show total months, weeks and days too?
Some things are measured that way — infant ages are given in months, pregnancy in weeks, and many financial or legal deadlines in days. The tiles under the main result save you converting by hand.
